This International biennial Conference, eighth in a series (1989, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2001 previous conferences) is organised by the Global Network of Environmental Science and Technology (GLOBAL NEST- G-NEST) and the Department of Environmental Studies of the University of the Aegean. The aim of the Conference is to present results of research and innovated technologies related to environmental problems, which threaten the quality of life in our planet. In view of the success of the previous Conferences it is expected that the major part of the Greek environmental scientists and engineers as well as a large number of international participants specialising in environmental technology will take part in this event. The Conference will be held in Lemnos island, Greece, at Porto Myrina Hotel.
The Conference main subjects will include the traditional environmental topics. However at this Conference, priority will be given to the following subjects: - Global Environmental Change The following topics will continue to

30.11.2002 Notice: Please submit papers by e-mail to the Conference Secretariat. [Top] Papers will be provisionally accepted by the Scientific Committee on the basis of the abstracts. The full papers will be reviewed before final acceptance for presentation. All accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings. We remind at this point that due to the quality of the presentations of the Conference, the proceedings of the 7th CEST have been included in the major data banks of the internationsl scientific community, such as Science Citation Index (ISI) and Chemical Abstracts. Papers will also be considered (with the authors consent) for inclusion in a special issue of the "GLOBAL NEST: the International Journal".
