SCOPE
The announcement of the
eleventh International biennial Conference on Environmental Science and
Technology continues the well established tradition of a successful
series of CEST Conferences dating back to 1989. Like the previous ones this
conference maintains and upgrades the synthetic and integrated approach
towards protection and upgrading of the environment, by bringing together
engineers, scientists, students, managers and other professionals from
different countries, involved in various aspects of environmental science
and technology. This synthetic approach, in combination with the integration
of environmental issues with economic and social aspects, is a prerequisite
for adopting sustainable solutions to the numerous contemporary
environmental problems.
The quality of the conference programmes over the last 20 years has been
continuously improving and currently stands at a very satisfactory level
internationally. The competition is significant and a rigorous review
process can guarantee that the best thinking and practical application will
be presented in the forthcoming event.
A new feature considered to become a part of the series of conferences is
the organisation of parallel workshops/seminars. Ideas and proposals for
such workshops which promote and disseminate knowledge and encourage in
depth debate about challenging issues, are welcome.
